Downloadable E-books Available
to Library Users

It’s hard to visit a bookstore or online bookseller these days without coming face-to-face with an e-book reader such as a Nook, Kindle, or Sony Reader. Now that book lovers have a high-tech gadget to call their own, e-book readers are shaping up to be one of this year’s most popular purchases.

If you are lucky enough to receive an e-reader as a holiday gift, or if you recently purchased one for yourself, you might be wondering where to begin. The library is an excellent place! Library users can download titles to most e-book readers free of charge.

The Leominster Public Library, through its membership in the C/WMARS network, provides free downloadable eBooks via Overdrive. Visit the C/WMARS Digital Catalog to find a listing of the titles that are available. The Digital Catalog’s help section can answer many of your questions about downloading eBooks.

There are also some instructional brochures that might help answer your questions:

How to Transfer eBooks to your Amazon Kindle

How to Transfer eBooks to your Barnes & Noble Nook

How to Transfer eBooks to your Sony Reader

How to Listen to MP3 Audiobooks on your eReader

A list of  compatible eBook devices
