It’s Tax Time Again!
With the New Year comes tax filing
season. Be sure to take advantage of these special services
that the Leominster Public Library offers at tax time.
Free Tax Filing Assistance
Volunteers from the AARP Tax-Aide Program will once
again be at the library during tax season to assist senior
citizens and low- to moderate-income individuals with filing
their tax returns.
In addition, this year volunteers from the IRS Volunteer
Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program will be available
to assist low- to moderate-income individuals (generally
$50,000 and below) with their taxes.
The VITA program is staffed by volunteers from IC Federal
Credit Union, Leominster Credit Union, and Workers’
Credit Union.
Appointments are required for both tax assistance
programs. Please call the library’s Reference Desk at
978-534-7522 ext. 3 after the New Year for more
information.
